​The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko will tomorrow welcome over 1000 medical interns and community service professionals who are part of the 2024 intake. 

The cohort of interns consists of a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including medical doctors, physiotherapists, audiologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, diagnostic radiologists, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, clinician psychologists, and dieticians among others. 

The placement of these interns and community service professionals in health facilities is crucial for the healthcare system in Gauteng and contributes to ensuring that the provision of comprehensive and specialised care meet the increasing demands of the province's population. 

Members of the media are invited to the ceremony as follows: Date: Thursday, 25 April 2024 

Time: 12h00 – 14h00 

Venue: Hope Restoration Ministries, 1 Beynon Close, Kempton Park
