Remove administration mark on discontinued vehicles

This service is available to vehicle owners who have had their cars discontinued through a process where a notice is issued in terms of the Road Traffic Act, 1989 (Act No. 29 of 1989) for vehicles that do not comply with necessary roadworthy specifications.

The Road Traffic Act, 1989 (Act no. 29 of 1989) allows a Gauteng Taffic Police Officer to remove the traffic disc on a vehicle with defects and an adminstration mark is then placed on the vehicle. The vehicle owner can after fixing the defects and the vehicle subjected to a roadworthy test, submit the relevant documentation to remove the administration mark on the vehicle if all documentation is in order.

This service is available during working hours (8:00 to 16:00)
