Community Development Workers work in most communities across Gauteng to assist individuals, families and organisations with access to government services.
Community Development Workers (CDWs) are special public servants who are based in communities to assist individuals, families and organisations to access government services. Community Development Workers engage with citizens and determine what services are needed, to ensure that these services are made available to them. CDWs link communities with a variety of government services and programmes such as health, grants, housing, agriculture, economic opportunities, education and training, and job opportunities.
