As a citizen there are certain standards of service that you should receive from Veterinary Services

Our service delivery standards are as follows:

 

When doing a visit to a facility for assessment, we undertake to:

  • Ensure that our officials have adequate knowledge of services rendered at your facility or premises, especially services applicable to the officials' scope of duty.
  • Be objective and fair during our inspections and audits at the facility.
  • Clearly communicate non-conformances to the facility owner/manager/representative.
  • Execute our duties in a positive, friendly, helpful and professional manner. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of any information obtained during inspecting/auditing activities that is deemed confidential by the customer. 

We expect our customers to:
  • Treat us with respect and dignity
  • Communicate your needs to us unambiguously 
  •  Provide correct and full information to facilitate service delivery
  • Make appointments for certification within a reasonable time and honour them
  • Comply with all government and departmental policies and regulations relevant to your required service 
  • Give us feedback on our service delivery to help us improve
