Gauteng embarks on Easter Road Safety campaign and prayer session in Mogale City

Gauteng MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure Jacob Mamabolo will tomorrow, 14 April 2022, lead the Easter Road Safety law enforcement operation and a prayer session on the R24/N14 Junction in Tarlton, Mogale City Local Municipality.

The campaign, conducted jointly with law enforcement agencies, faith-based organisations, taxi industry and local government, will focus on road safety interventions that seek to encourage motorists to adhere to road rules including the wearing of seatbelts, resting during long trips to lessen driver fatigue as well as the checking of vehicles for overloading and roadworthiness.

This is in anticipation of increased traffic volumes over the Easter weekend as road users make their way to various destinations.
