​The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko will tomorrow, Thursday, 03 August 2023 handover a social mobilisation truck to the West Rand District Health Services at the Muldersdrift informal settlement. 

During the 2023/24 Budget Vote address, the MEC committed the Gauteng Department of Health to continuing to upscale public health education programmes, for knowledge is the most potent weapon in our fight against diseases. This truck will allow the district to improve health education in township, informal settlement and hostel (TISH) communities. 

The Department will also be taking a basket of health services to the community of Muldersdrift informal settlement which include amongst others, comprehensive health screening, HIV and TB testing, immunisation, adherence support for chronic treatment, oral health and pap smear, as well as healthy lifestyle activities.
