​The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko will this afternoon update the public in relation to the fire incident at Tembisa Provincial Tertiary Hospital's Accident and Emergency Unit.

This follows the incident which saw patients being safely evacuated from the Accident and Emergency Unit into other wards last night.

Prior to the briefing the MEC will assess the situation and receive a report from the emergency response team on site.
