Gauteng launches the UITP-TAG Regional Training Centre
The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport in partnership with
the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) today, 25 October
2022, launched the UITP-TAG Regional Training Centre in
Johannesburg.
The centre - the first of its kind in Africa - will be based at the offices of
the Transport Authority of Gauteng (TAG).
In September 2022, TAG signed a Memorandum of Agreement with
International Association of Public Transport (UITP) to establish the
UITP – TAG Africa Regional Training Centre, which will serve Gauteng,
South Africa, and the African continent.
Speaking at the launch, MEC for Transport and Logistics Kedibone
Diale-Tlabela commended the leadership of GIBS for partnering with
the Department
