The Gauteng Provincial Government's Back to School campaign was in full swing on Wednesday 15 January 2020 as schools across the province started the new academic year.  The visit was also followed by a short speech from the MEC to encourage the students to continue with school even through difficult situations.

"Your tomorrow is bright. You may not see it today, but I see lawyers, doctors, engineers amongst you." "Your background does not determine your future. We understand that some of you come from very difficult situations, as government we are here to make schooling as easy as possible you", said Nkomo – Ralehoko.

MEC Nkomo – Ralehoko, concluded her schools visit at Tshepo Lesedi Learning Academy, Kwa-Thema where she stressed that Early Childhood Centers need to improve the quality of education provided to children between the age of 3 months and six years.

She went on to demonstrate her agricultural skills when she took to the courtyard to plant trees for the school, because she believes that the development of the economy should not diminish the importance of natural resources.
