The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport, through its Debt Management of Motor License Fees process, provides for its clients an arrangement to pay, in instalments, outstanding motor vehicle license fees, penalties and arrears.

It serves to assist clients who cannot afford to make full payments for outstanding fees due to penalties and arrears. Clients can, therefore, be allowed to renew their license disks.

The process entails clients presenting themselves or proxies to:

  • Make an application;
  • Submit required documents;
  • Pay a minimum deposit of 30%;
  • Sign a contract with the Department; and
  • Pay monthly instalments.
