Gauteng parents and guardians have seven days left to submit their online applications for the 2022 academic year, for learners who are currently in Grade 7.

Department of Education's Phase 1 of 2022 online applications will close on September 3.

The Department of Education has recorded 241 066 successful applications, thus far.

MEC Panyaza Lusufi said they have noted that some parents and guardians need to be reminded that the application stages also include the submission of the requested documents to the selected schools on time.

"To avoid disappointment, we remind parents and guardians to furnish the schools they applied to with the documents as soon as possible," Lesufi said.

Parents who do not have access to the internet are urged to use alternative ways to apply.
