The Gauteng Department of Social Development participated in the fifth Gauteng Youth Expo at the Nasrec Expo Centre.
The youth expo was held from the 13 – 17 June. It attracted more than 140 exhibitors who provided information and services on youth careers, jobs and work exposure on how to start a business.
The expo forms part of commemorating the 43rd anniversary of June 16 1976.Parents brought their children to this diverse educational programme for guidance, advice, empowerment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Hundreds of learners from Grade 10 to 12 across all corners of Gauteng, including youth who are out of school, unemployed youth and graduates, and youth seeking inspirations and opportunity who are not yet sure with their career choices were all urged to make the right choice when choosing careers.
