Government is calling on people who are 60 years and older to register on the provided platforms for COVID-19 vaccination.   
People cab now register on the following platforms: 
The Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) on https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/ 
WhatsApp – You can now register on the COVID-19 WhatsApp number by sending 'REGISTER' to 0600 123 456.
USSD – You can also register by SMS by dialling *134*832*your ID number#. If you don't have an ID number just dial *134*832#.
The WhatsApp and SMS services are zero rated and so you do not need data or airtime. You also do not need a smartphone to be able to register by SMS.
The COVID-19 vaccine and non-pharmaceutical measures are the most effective ways to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 infection.
To register on EVDS, people need to have access to the internet, their ID number or passport, and general contact information, including a cell phone number. Other required information includes your primary employer and location of work, professional registration details, and medical aid.
When the registration process is done, the system will send an SMS to the phone number you provided. This SMS will tell you that you are registered. This means that the system now has you in the queue.
When it is your turn to be vaccinated, the system will send you another SMS with a date and venue for your vaccination. The vaccinator administers the vaccine, captures the required information on EVDS. If taking two-dose vaccine, the beneficiary will later receive an SMS reminding of the second dose appointment.
The public will get the vaccine from various designated vaccinations sites across the province. If you have problems, you may contact the COVID-19 Hotline at 0800 029 999.
Provision will also be made at vaccination sites for those who could not access the electronic system. If you are unable to register by these methods, you may go to the nearest vaccination centre and you will be registered on the spot.
