Soweto pensioner, Lele Lepule, 70 says she is relieved after receiving her vaccination and she is happy that she took the decision to get inoculated and not be frightened by fake news on social media. 
"I know on social media people are saying a lot of scary things, but I just told myself that if I will take a risk and vaccinate because the benefits of the vaccine outweigh all the negatives doing rounds..
"I did not experience any side effects, everything is ok, even people I got vaccinated with, are not complaining of any side effects as well," said Lepule   
Lepule got her vaccine on 21 May, at Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital. She said she was used to vaccines as she grew-up getting them.  
"Itis not a new thing to me, I am actually a relieved now that I have been vaccinated   as this virus is deadly, especially to us older people with other chronic illnesses," said Lepule 
She said the nurse told her that if she experiences a headache or fever, she must take Panado and if she feels fatigued, she should get some rest. 
"I haven't felt anything ever since then," she said. 
On the second week of phase 2 of the vaccine drive, Gauteng Health Department has added new vaccination sites from 28 to 63 to ramp up its drive for those aged 60 and above.
The centers include 18 in Johannesburg, 14 each in Tshwane and Ekurhuleni, 10 in the West Rand and seven in Sedibeng.
Pensioners and workers over 60 are still welcomed to register on the government Electronic Vaccine Data System (EVDS) https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/#/.
