​The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko will officially open the newly built Hydrotherapy Pool to expand the services offered by the Physiotherapy Department at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. 

The facility is designed to provide therapeutic benefits for patients suffering from a range of conditions, including osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and those recovering from sports injuries and trauma. The hydrotherapy pool will offer advanced treatment options, promoting faster recovery and improved mobility for patients. Hydrotherapy is known for its effectiveness in pain management, reducing muscle tension, and increasing strength and flexibility. 

This facility will make advanced physiotherapy more accessible to the vulnerable populations served by the hospital, ensuring equitable healthcare services.
