​Gauteng Emergency Medical Services wishes to ensure community members in the city of Johannesburg and the province, that it continues to provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS). 
The provincialisation process that started almost ten years ago and was concluded last year for all municipalities has not affected service delivery in Gauteng. Provincialisation of Emegency Medical Services will improve effeciencies with regards to the provision of quality emergency medical services, achieving seamles operations and equitable service across the province with single command and control, unhindered by municipal boundries. 
We want to assure the community that the Gauteng Department of Health continues to offer medical services.
