​The Gauteng College of Nursing (herewith referred as College) invites the public to nominate person/s for the appointment to serve as members of Council for Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON) in terms of Section 4 of the College Stature. Gauteng College of Nursing has been established following the merger of the previously known four colleges (Ann Latsky Nursing College, Chris Hani Nursing College, Ga-Rankuwa Nursing College and SG Lourens Nursing College) and two campuses (Bonalesedi Nursing College and Rahima Moosa Nursing College).
Members of public who are suitably qualified and with expertise in the following areas may be nominated for appointment as members of GCON Council: Legal, Finance/Financial Accounting, Higher Education Clinical Experience (Health Professional) with background /expertise in education and training, Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resource Management.

The nomination form must be signed by at least two members of the public and by the Nominee, as an indication of his or her willingness to serve on the Council and its committees. The following supporting documents must be included: Curriculum Vitae of the Nominee; Details of three referees; A declaration by the Nominee that no conflict of interest exists with the College.

Please note:

a. The Nominees must not be members of the Department of Health, Gauteng College of Nursing or members of the Interim College Council (ICC) of Gauteng College of Nursing.

b. These are not salaried positions. However, the GCON will contribute a Council approved stipend for all external members.
